Around 205,000 sqm was let in Frankfurt’s office market in the first half of 2022, an increase in take-up of 11% year-on-year. Banks and financial services were the most active sector in the rankings with approx. 50,400 sqm, followed by the public sector and consultants with approx. 31,800 sqm and approx. 21,100 sqm, respectively.

The average monthly rent in Frankfurt’s office market was €22.50/sqm by the end of the second quarter of 2022, compared to €21.00/sqm at the end of 2021. The supply of vacant office space has decreased since the fourth quarter of 2021, despite the small number of businesses moving into the city. A total of 995,000 sqm of vacant space is currently available to Frankfurt's office tenants, corresponding to a vacancy rate of 8.6%.
